The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support level designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all website customers and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
